ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />BOOK 89,,,,F 560 -7 <br />In considering the fact that Stewart Industries has controlled the <br />water problem, the Public Works staff would like to issue a <br />purchase order to Stewart Industries for limerock picked up by the <br />County and save the $3.31/ton hauling cost, however, the Attorney's <br />office has indicated that we cannot violate the original award to <br />Florida Aggregates. The following alternatives exist: <br />Alternative #1 <br />Issue a purchase order to Stewart Industries as follows: <br />Limerock delivered to Co. at <br />locations south of SR60 $ 6.80/ton <br />Alternative #2 <br />Do not change the original Sept. 1992 award. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Alternative No. 1 is recommended whereby a Purchase Order expiring <br />September 30, 1993 will be issued to Stewart Industries. Funding <br />to be from. Road and Bridge Fund 111-214 and 173-214, various <br />construction accounts. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved <br />Alternate #1 to issue a purchase order expiring <br />9/30/93 to Stewart Industries as set out in the <br />above staff recommendation. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - ORDINANCE CREATING THE WHISPERING PINES STREET <br />LIGHTING DISTRICT <br />The hour of 9:05 o'clock A.
