MAY 25 M <br />Recommendation <br />BOOK 89 Ulu F, <br />.f,99 <br />Based on its analysis, staff recommends that the Board of County <br />Commissioners approve the request to redesignate approximately 0.31 <br />acres from M-1, Medium -Density Residential -1 (up to 8 units/ acre) <br />to C/I, Commercial/ Industrial Node and rezone the property from RM - <br />6, Multiple -Family Residential (up to 6 units/acre) to CG, General <br />Commercial District. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. <br />Michael O'Haire, attorney representing the applicant, urged <br />the Board to approve the change. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the <br />Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Macht being absent) adopted Ordinance <br />93-23, amending the Land Use Element of the <br />Comprehensive Plan by enlarging the U.S. #1/57th <br />Street to 49th Street Commercial/ Industrial Node, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Macht being absent) adopted Ordinance <br />93-24, amending the Zoning Ordinance and the <br />Accompanying Zoning Map from RM -6 to CG, for the <br />property located at the southeast corner of U.S. #1 <br />and 53rd Street, as recommended by staff. <br />A, <br />88 <br />
