Resolution to Accept Dedication of Right -of -Way and Cancel <br />Taxes on Same <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated June 8, 1993: <br />TO .-The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: VrC/ . William G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: 'June 8, 1993 <br />SUBJECT: A Resolution to Accept Dedication of Right -Of -Way and to <br />Cancel Taxes on Same <br />A resolution has been prepared for the purpose of accepting a right-of-way <br />dedication and cancelling any delinquent or current taxes which may exist on <br />the following property acquired by Indian River County for public purpose: <br />Right -of -Way acquired from Nancy T. Moon, n/k/a Nancy T. Frazier, <br />as Trustee of the Nancy T. Moon Living Trust Under Agreement dated <br />June 7, 1990, which right-of-way Is fully described In that Right Of <br />Way Deed recorded in Official Record Book 974, Pages 1924-1925, Public <br />Records of Indian River County, Florida. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br />Resolution accepting the dedication and cancelling certain taxes upon publicly <br />owned lands, and the Clerk to send a certified copy of same to the Tax <br />Collector so that any delinquent or current taxes can be cancelled. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Chairman Bird being absent) adopted Resolution 93- <br />104, accepting right-of-way dedication and <br />cancelling certain taxes upon publicly owned land, <br />as recommended by staff. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-.104 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />DEDICATION AND CANCELLING CERTAIN TAXES <br />UPON PUBLICLY OWNED LANDS, PURSUANT TO <br />SECTION 196.28, FLORIDA STATUTES. <br />WHEREAS, section 196.28, Florida Statutes, allows the Board of <br />County Commissioners of each County to cancel and discharge any and all <br />Hens for taxes, delinquent or current, held or owned by the county or the <br />state, upon lands heretofore or hereafter conveyed to or acquired by any <br />agency, governmental subdivision, or municipality of the state, or the United <br />16 <br />
