Provide by resolution for per them compensation to the Value <br />Adjustment Board members. -The amount of such compensation is <br />established by statute If both the County Commission and School Board <br />elect to allow such compensation. The School Board has made such an <br />election. Two-fifths, of the expenses are borne by the School Board <br />and three-fifths by the County Commission. An appropriate resolution <br />is attached for your approval. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />1. Appoint Board members and alternates <br />2. Approve the attached Resolution. <br />3. Suggest available dates for organizational meeting with School Board. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Tippin being absent) appointed <br />Commissioners Eggert, Adams and Tippin to the 1993 <br />Value Adjustment Board with Commissioners Bird and <br />Macht as alternates. <br />Property Appraiser David Nolte anticipated an inordinate <br />amount of assessment appeals this year because of the passage of <br />Amendment #10 last October which puts an annual cap of 3% on <br />assessment increases and is effective next year. <br />The Board agreed that the best dates to hold the <br />organizational meeting would be either Wednesday, August 4 or <br />August 5 at 9:00 a.m. in the First Floor Conference Room of the <br />County Administration Building. (Note: Meeting was scheduled for <br />August 5.) <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Tippin being absent) adopted Resolution <br />93-113, appointing the 1993 Value Adjustment.
