ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Macht being absent) approved the <br />release of the above listed utility liens, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />RELEASES ARE ON FILE IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />F. I.R. Correctional Institution Aareement with County Public <br />Works <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 7/28/93; <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners DATE: July 28, 1993 FILE: <br />THRU: James E. Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />SUBJECT' Indian River Correctional <br />Institution Public Works <br />Agreement <br />. Randy Dowling <br />FROM. Asst. to county Admin. REFERENCES: <br />The County Administrator's Office received a letter dated July 26, 1993 from the <br />Indian River Correctional Institution requesting approval of their annual public <br />works agreement with the county that allows their inmates to work at the <br />county's landfill, parks, and Sandridge Golf Course. The inmates will continue <br />to provide recycling services at the landfill and lawn maintenance at the parks <br />and golf course. This contract is the same as last years with no changes. The <br />estimated cost of this program is minimal, mainly providing transportation 'for <br />several inmates from the correctional institution to the place of work and back. <br />County staff recommends that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to <br />sign the contract. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Macht being absent) approved the <br />Florida Department of Corrections Interagency/ Public <br />Works Agreement, as recommended by staff. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />5 <br />L- AUG - 3 1993 <br />BOOK 90 113 <br />
