MISCELLANEOUS INTERSECTIONS IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />The Board .reviewed the following memo dated 8/9/93: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />FROM: Robert Zaitooni, P.E. <br />County Traffic Engine r <br />SUBJECT: Miscellaneous Intersections Improvements Project <br />DATE: August 9, 1993 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Indian River County solicited proposals from Professional Engineering <br />Consultants to provide design services for the improvements needed at <br />seven (7) intersections within the County. <br />The Selection Committee consisted of Robert B. Zaitooni, County Traffic <br />Engineer, Terry B. Thompson, Capital Projects Manager and Michelle <br />Gentile, Civil Engineer. The Committee reviewed submittals, short-listed <br />three firms, and interviewed the short-listed firms. The resultant <br />ranking of firms by the Selection Committee is as follows: <br />1. Ri.mley-Horn and Associates, Inc. <br />2. Reith and Schnars <br />3. Lawson, Noble and Associates, Inc. <br />The Committee recommends that staff be authorized to negotiate a contract <br />with the highest ranked firm. <br />Funding is from Road Impact Fee Account. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously <br />authorized staff to negotiate a contract with the <br />highest ranked firm. <br />51 <br />BOOK �0 P",,E 943 <br />
