P. Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 023 <br />The Board reviewed memo from OMB Director Joe Baird dated <br />September 1, 1993: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: September 1, 1993 <br />SUBJECT. MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT 023 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />FROM: Joseph A. Bair <br />OMB Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following. <br />1. The State -of Florida, Department of Labor, has charged Indian <br />River County for Unemployment Compensation payments to former <br />employees. A budget amendment is required to reflect these <br />payments. <br />2. Indian- River County received a reimbursement check from the <br />Florida Inland Navigation District in the amount of $30,000 for work <br />completed at the Environmental Learning Center. <br />3. Self -Insurance Fund revenues and expenses were low due to the fact <br />that at the beginning of this fiscal year we were unsure as to whether <br />the Sheriff was going to be covered under the counties insurance <br />plan. <br />4. At the Board of County Commissioners meeting of June 22,1993, the <br />Board approved the request from Emergency Management Services <br />for a budget amendment in the amount of $3,737 to make the <br />necessary electrical modifications and panel up -grade at the Hobart <br />Tower Transmitter Building. <br />S. The Property Appraiser has given the Office of Management and <br />Budget their 1992/93 Non -Ad Valorem budget in the amount of <br />$114,224, which requires the boards official approval. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget amendment <br />023. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />Budget Amendment 023: <br />23 <br />SEP 7 1993 <br />BOOK 90,Fay;rE <br />
