� � s <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />Wednesday, September 8, 1993 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Special Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, September 8, <br />1993, at 5:01 p.m. Present were Richard N. Bird, Chairman; John W. <br />Tippin, Vice Chairman; Fran B. Adams; Carolyn K. Eggert; and <br />Kenneth R. Macht. Also present were James E. Chandler, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Patricia <br />Held, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Commissioner John Tippin led the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br />Chairman Bird welcomed members of the public and explained <br />that those who could not find a seat in chambers were assembled in <br />the first floor conference room and were listening over the speaker <br />system. A signature sheet is available in that conference room for <br />members of the public who wish to address the Board and the names <br />will be called during the public hearing portion of the meeting. <br />Chairman Bird introduced the Commissioners and staff. <br />County Attorney Charles Vitunac advised that formal notice of <br />the meeting was given through the mailing of the Truth In Millage <br />(TRIM) Notice and the Notice of Non -Ad Valorem Assessments for 1993 <br />to all Indian River County taxpayers. <br />Chairman Bird announced that County Administrator Chandler <br />would review the budgets and millages and explain pertinent <br />details. <br />County Administrator Chandler announced that this is the first <br />of two public hearings to consider the proposed budget for fiscal <br />year 1993-94. The second and final hearing will be on Wednesday, <br />September 15, 1993, at 5:01 p.m. in Commission Chambers. <br />SEP 81993 BOOK 90 F�A,E-469 <br />
