Thompson, P.E. <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Amendment to FBIP Grant Agreement <br />Round Island Park Improvements <br />DATE: September 21, 1993 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CQr1DITIONS <br />On February 18, 1992, Indian.River County accepted a $150,000 Florida <br />Boating Improvement Program (FBIP) Grant for Round Island Park <br />Improvements. The County has requested an additional $88,000 in FBIP <br />funds because the cost of the boat ramp, site work and paving exceeded the <br />preliminary estimates. <br />The attached Amendment increases the FBIP project funding to $238,000. <br />The current unobligated balance of FBIP funds available to Indian River <br />County is $140,523.22. This Amendment will reduce the unobligated balance <br />to $52,523.22. <br />RECOMIl MMATIONS AND PONDING <br />Staff recommends that the Chairman be authorized to execute the attached <br />Amendment to the Agreement. <br />The $238,000 FBIP grant is the County's match for a $130,000 grant the <br />County accepted from the Florida Inland Navigation District. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Amendment to the Agreement for Florida Boating <br />Improvement Program Grant for Round Island Park <br />Improvements, increasing the approved amount of the <br />project to $238,000, as set out in staff's <br />memorandum. <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT <br />IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />21 <br />BOOK 90 f'A,UE 660 <br />
