Tuesday, October 5, 1993 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, October 5, 1993, <br />at 9:00 o'clock a.m. Present were Richard N. Bird, Chairman; John <br />W. Tippin, Vice Chairman; Fran B. Adams; Carolyn K. Eggert; and <br />Kenneth R. Macht. Also present were James E. Chandler, County <br />Administrator; William G. Collins, II, Deputy County Attorney; and <br />Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Commissioner <br />Eggert led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Bird requested the following additions to the Agenda: <br />As Item 5, a proclamation for Arts and Humanities Week. <br />As Item I on the Consent Agenda, a resolution opposing <br />Senate Bill 1405 re flood insurance. <br />As Item 11-H-4, discussion re Vero Beach sewer rate <br />increase. <br />Commissioner Eggert requested the addition as Item 13-D of the <br />ELMS growth management plan. <br />Commissioner Macht requested the addition as Item 13-E of a <br />discussion regarding unfunded state mandates and other budgetary <br />matters. <br />Commissioner Adams requested the addition of discussion <br />regarding water service to the new Wal-Mart store being built in <br />Sebastian. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously added the <br />above items to today's Agenda. <br />PROCLAMATION- Arts and Humanities Week <br />Chairman Bird presented the following Proclamation to Kent <br />Barclay, immediate past chairman of the Center for the Arts, who <br />expressed the Center's appreciation for this recognition. <br />BOOK 60 F'";F.670 <br />L_0 CT - 5 1993 J <br />
