NOV -,91993 <br />BOOK 90 PAGE 967 <br />Commissioner Macht asked for a brief explanation of how this <br />happened, and Public Works Director Jim Davis explained that a new <br />computer program is being used and a misinterpretation occurred <br />when the surveying crew's field notes were transcribed. Director <br />Davis advised that this is the first time this happened in 13 <br />years, and staff has now initiated a process whereby an additional <br />person checks the notes. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />the 1st Amendment to the Professional Engineering <br />Services Agreement with Williams, Hatfield & Stoner, <br />Inc., authorizing additional services for a total <br />cost of $2,747.50, as recommended by staff. <br />1ST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />N. Purchase of GDU System <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated November 3, 1993: <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />FROM: Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: November 3, 1993 <br />RE: PURCHASE OF GDU SYSTEM <br />In connection with the purchase by the County of the GDU utility system <br />the County obtained the right to drain storm water from the newly <br />acquired County land onto land which is being acquired by Indian River <br />Country Club, Ltd. for its new golf course development. <br />The attached easement agreement grants the County the right to drain <br />County land into the golf course lake under certain terms and <br />conditions, and the County staff recommends that the Board accept the <br />easement, execute it as grantee, and return it to Indian River Country <br />Club, Ltd. for recording. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />easement agreement with Indian River Country Club, <br />Ltd., as set forth in the above staff <br />recommendation. <br />22 <br />
