NOV -P 194. <br />BOOK 90 PAGE 10.05 <br />Commissioner Adams wanted to add a request for continued <br />support and funding of experimental beach projects. <br />After brief discussion, the consensus among the Board members <br />was to add that request to the list. <br />Commissioner Macht led discussion of Item 1, and Director <br />Baird explained that he did not think it was fair for the County to <br />pay all costs associated with tax collection, when we receive only <br />35 percent of total tax revenue. <br />NOTE: The following is a list of the actual requests that <br />were taken to the Legislative Delegation meeting: <br />LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION MEETING <br />November 17, 1993 <br />I.B. Indian River County-- (Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney) <br />1. Request change in rules to allow insurance for larger buses for <br />transportation disadvantaged (County Commissioner Carolyn Eggert <br />and Assistant County Attorney Terrence P. O'Brien) <br />2. Request additional small business administration aid for small <br />counties (Alan Campbell, Chamber of Commerce) <br />3. Request General Law amendment of Section 192.091, Florida Statutes, <br />which would remove exemption for school boards and municipalities <br />from paying' their own commissions to Tax Collector and Property <br />Appraiser (Joseph Baird, County OMB Director) <br />4. Request change in CCNA to allow competitive bidding after short <br />listing consultants (Terrance Pinto, County Utilities Director) <br />5. Discuss state funding of closed -landfill clean-up costs for small <br />counties (Terrance Pinto, County Utilities Director) <br />7.
