Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />DI ION HEAD CONCURRENCE: <br />Obert M. eats g, <br />Community DevelopmeriC Director <br />1415 <br />FROM: Stan Boling, AICP <br />Planning Director <br />DATE: November 29, 1993 <br />SUBJECT: Proposed LDR Amendments <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at its special <br />meeting of December 14, 1993. <br />DESCRIPTION & CONDITIONS: <br />•Background <br />Over the last several months, county staff, the Board of County <br />Commissioners and private entities have initiated various proposals <br />to amend tihe*county Is land development regulations (LDRs). Since <br />July of this year, the Professional Services Advisory Committee <br />(PSAC) has reviewed and made recommendations regarding each of the <br />various LDR amendment proposals. These various amendment proposals <br />have been combined into a single ordinance which was considered by <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission at its November 18, 1993 meeting <br />(see attachment #15). At that meeting, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission made recommendations regarding various sections of the <br />proposed ordinance. The recommendations of the PSAC, Planning and <br />Zoning Commission, and staff are reported in the "ANALYSIS" section <br />of this report. <br />*Board Consideration <br />The Board is now to conduct the first of two public hearings to <br />consider adoption of the proposed ordinance. [The second public <br />hearing is -scheduled for 5:01 p.m. on Wednesday,? January 5, 1994.] <br />At this first hearing, the Board is to consider the proposed <br />ordinance and direct staff to make any changes to any section or <br />sections of the ordinance which the Board feels should be made <br />prior to final action. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has structured the proposed ordinance such that each <br />ordinance section contains an amendment or amendments that are <br />related to a single topic (see attachment #1).
