Chandler, County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E., Public Works Director <br />FROM: Don G. Donaldson, P. <br />Coastal Engineer E ,V� <br />SUBJECT: Partial Payment to American Coastal Engineering, <br />Inc. for the Compeltion of Task I and Partial <br />Completion of Task II Project <br />DATE: January 19, 1994 c=uss �aeooas2.a® <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />American Coastal Engineering, Inc. has completed the Design <br />Development report for the Vero Beach PEP Reef Project. This <br />report was submitted with a permit application to the Federal and <br />State regulator agencies on December 21, 1993. The report <br />completes the contract obligations for Task I and the permit <br />applications partially completes Task II. The County's contract <br />with Amercian Coastal Engineering, Inc. provides that 50% of Task <br />II will be paid upon filing of the permit application which amounta/ <br />to $22,500. The remaining balance for Task I is $42,870. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Board authorize payment to American <br />Coastal Engineering in the amount of $65,370. <br />Funding to be from Tourist Tax Revenues. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously authorized <br />a partial payment to American Coastal Engineering in <br />the amount of $65,370, as recommended by staff. <br />MAINTENANCE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN FS 298 DRAINAGE DISTRICT RIGHTS-OF- <br />WAY <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis commented from the following <br />memo dated January 19, 1994: <br />30 <br />
