452 <br />PRIDAYs MAY 5th, 1933, . <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Ploricla s met at <br />the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A.M.Priday, May 5th 19339 with the <br />following members of the Board present: J.J.P.Hamilton, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; Vm. Be <br />Peazell, John Me Haight, and Edwin A. Helseth. Also present were Miles Warren,Clerk <br />and William Prick, Sheriff. <br />The Chairman announced the special meeting was called for the purpose of trying tc <br />adjust and settle the mandemus proceedings instituted by the Pauly Jail Building Co., <br />of St. Louis, Missouri. <br />Commissioner Peazell moved that the Pauly Jail Building Company be offered <br />$9,000.00 to retire 9 jail Time warrants, now in default, and the sum of $280.00 for <br />interest coupons which became due April lot 19339 provided the mandamus proceedings be <br />dismissed. Such motion being seconded by Commissioner Knight, and upon being put to <br />a vote all voted for the motion, except Commissioner Yongue who voted No. <br />L. M. Me rriman, attorney for the Pauly Jail building Company appeared before the <br />Board and advised he would accept the same, provided a bill was approved for interest <br />accumulated on the Time Warrants since their default to this date. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that a bill of $325.00 for accrued interest on <br />defaulted Jail Time Warrants be approved, payable to Pauly Jail Building Co., to be pai <br />from funds when available. <br />Prank Ayers requested authority to capture two whooping cranes to be placed in a <br />show park on the Dixie Highway north of town, which was granted in view it appears the <br />same are to be used for scientific purposes and has the sanction and approval of a <br />representative of the State Game Department. <br />It was ordered that all members of the Board meet at the Court House at 8:30 <br />4 A.M,Priday, May 12th for the purpose of inspecting the roads and bridges of the County, <br />i <br />and making a complete survey of the home conditions of all those receiving aid from <br />the County and those receiving mothers pensions, as well as those who have requested <br />aid from the County at this time.. <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board <br />then a <br />e d j Darned. <br />chairman <br />A TTEST <br />L <br />lark to Board. <br />I <br />
