DRUM7*-' <br />AND STAFFED ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: REMOVAL OF THE RIVERS EDGE SUBDIVISION'S 20,000 GPD <br />WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND WATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />STORAGE TANKS <br />BACKGROUND <br />On November 30, 1993 the 20,000 GPD Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />Facility at Rivers Edge Subdivision (located West of Roseland on <br />Roseland Road, S.R. 505) ) was taken off line. On January 17, <br />1994, the Water Treatment Plant Facility for Rivers Edge was taken <br />off .line. The new Indian River County water main and force main <br />construction along Roseland Road is now providing Rivers Edge with <br />utility service. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Upon approval by the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners, the Department of Utility Services will contact <br />several contractors to obtain bids for the sale and removal of the <br />remaining items from the 20,000 GPD Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />(See Attached List) along with the sale and removal of a 100,000 <br />gallon, ground storage water tank and a 5,000 gallon pneumatic <br />water tank that was used in conjunction with the water treatment <br />plant. <br />As with past bids for these items, a low bidder turnout is <br />expected.
