1 <br />1 <br />FRI:D,Y , MAY .3 <br />12th 1933 <br />._ _ ..-....�. ..�. r.. -r..,......, �. 0 <br />M2e Board of County Commissioners ih and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the Court Souse in Vero Beach, at 9:00 o'clock A.M.Triday, May 12th 19339 with the <br />f ollowi°ng members of the Board present: J.J.P.Hamilton, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; Wn.h. <br />Feazell and John R. Shight. Also present was Miles Warren, Clerk. <br />The Chairman announced the special meeting was called for the purpose of con-, <br />sidering and levying a license tax on the sale of beer for the benefit of the County.. <br />On motion of Commissioner Knight end seconded by Commissioner Yongue, and <br />unanimously adopted, it was ordered that the County collect 50% of the amount of State <br />license on dale of beer, porter ale, wine and fruit juices, in accordance with the <br />recent act of the Legislature legalizing such sales,. for County purposes and the Tax <br />Collector is authorized to collect <br />such County license <br />for the <br />remainder of <br />the year <br />1933 on a basis of 1/2 year license <br />and Tax Collector <br />ordered <br />to place such <br />funds so <br />collected in the General Revenue Fund of the County. <br />It was ordered that the Tax Collector is instructed to have the necessary blanks <br />and forms printed for this purpose to carry out the above order of the Board. <br />There being nD further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board <br />then adjourned.. 01 <br />ATTEST: V Chairman. <br />C1 a rk. <br />TUESDAY, JURE 6th 1933 1 <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the Court House in Vero Beach, Florida, at 10:00 o'clock A.B. Tuesday, June 6th 19339 <br />with the following members of the Board present: J.J'.P.Hamilton, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; <br />Wm E Feazell, John M., Knight and Edwin A. He lseth. Also present were Miles Marren, <br />Clerk and William Frick, Sheriff. <br />The minutes of the meetings held Way 2nd 5th and 12th 19339 were read and approved. <br />Eli C Walker appeared before the Board and requested the road be closed between <br />Sections 25 and 26 and between Sections 23 and 24, running North and South,. Township <br />32 South Range 39 East, which had been heretofore declared a public road, not being used <br />and not open now. It being made to appear the land on each side is now owned by Mr. <br />Walker, and to close such road would not out any person off from their property, on <br />motion made, seconded and carried it was ordered such road be closed. <br />Commissioner Feazell made a motion, which was seconded by Commissioner Yongue, that <br />the following described rights-of-way be closed: <br />The following described rights of way located in the following described Townships <br />and ranges in Indian River County; <br />Township 31, south, Range 36 Bast <br />• 31 a a 37 • <br />a 32 • " 36 a <br />P " 32 " " 37 r <br />according to plate of Fellsmere Farms Company filed in the office of the Clerk of the <br />Circuit Court for St. Lucie County Plorida; <br />1. A certain thirty foot right of way running parallel with and about half way <br />between laterals *us and sS" of the Fellemere Drainage District, extending from a point Ii <br />where said right of way intersects the tracks of the Trans Plorida Central Railroad,- <br />thenee south°for approximately 5* miles to Drainage Canal 34. <br />
