Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Direct <br />SUBJECT: Request by Robert Cairns -to Construct Storm Grove Road <br />West of Old Dixie Highway to Lateral "G" Canal <br />RE: Letter from Robert Cairns to Jim.Davis Dated <br />March 25, 1994 <br />DATE: April 4, 1994 <br />Robert Cairns, a property owner of 42.9 acres of land surrounded by the <br />Hawk's Nest -Golf Course, is requesting that the County proceed to <br />construct approximately 900' of Storm Grove Road (57th Street) between <br />Lateral "G" canal and U.S. 1. The existing County right-of-way was <br />purchased in 197% and when Hawk's Nest Golf Course was developed in the <br />mid 19801s. <br />An agreement was also established in 1985 for the developer of Hawk's Nest <br />to fund the construction of 57th Street along the golf course frontage <br />east of Lateral "G" canal. A letter of credit in the amount of $81,837.45 <br />, which in 1991 was replaced by a mortgage on the property as collateral, <br />was given to the County to secure the road construction funding.
