IRC Courthouse Proiect, Change Order No. 9 <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 5/18/94: <br />DATE: MAY 16, 1994 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: H.T. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COURTHOUSE PROJECT <br />CHANGE ORDER NUMBER 9 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This Change Order was generated to allow for a deduction to the <br />contracted price with James A. Cummings, Inc. It covers an amount of <br />direct purchases for materials and equipment made by the County, in <br />an effort to take advantage of not being required to pay sales tax on <br />these items. <br />XXTR T VQTQ . <br />A total of $156,080.75 was paid to vendors for the materials and <br />equipment. This equates to a savings of $9,533.85 to the County. <br />The new contracted price for the project is now reduced to <br />$10,101,147.04. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends Board approval of this Change Order as presented, <br />and requests authorization for the Chairman to execute the applicable <br />documents. - <br />ON - <br />MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously <br />approved Change Order No. 9 with James A. <br />Cummings, Inc., as set out in staff's <br />recommendation. <br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 9 IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />10 <br />
