Gentile, C.E.T. <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing for the Paving & Drainage Improvements to 1st Place between 27th <br />Avenue and 32nd Avenue in Vero Beach Homesites <br />DATE: May 11, 1994 <br />On April 19, 1994 the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 94-54 providing for <br />certain paving and drainage improvements to 1st Place between 27th Avenue and 32nd Avenue <br />in Vero Beach Homesites. A petition was received from the properly owners on this road. Owners <br />of 30 parcels out of 44 parcels signed the petition making it 689o' in favor of having this road paved <br />On April 19, 1994 the Board of County Commissioners adopted another Resolution 94-55 setting <br />the date and time for a Public Hearing to discuss the advisability, cost and amount of the assessment <br />against each property owner. This hearing is scheduled for May 24, 1994. <br />It is recommended that motions be made to approve the assessment roll, and confirming resolution <br />with changes, if any, made after input at the May 24, 1994 Public Hearing. Revised confirming <br />resolution and assessment roll will be forwarded to Chairman of the Board for signature. The <br />Assessment Roll and assessment plat are on file with the Clerk to the Board of County <br />Commissioner's office. <br />Commissioner Eggert advised that she received a few calls from <br />property owners in the area about the big change in ownership since <br />the petition was circulated 3 years ago. - <br />Michelle Gentile, civil engineer, explained that owners of 30 <br />parcels. out of 44 parcels signed the petition making it 68% in <br />favor of having this road paved. <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis advised that this petition <br />paving project was held up until after the water line was completed. <br />EV <br />
