SPECIAL MEETING <br />Tuesday, May 31, 1994 <br />The Board of -County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Special Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, May 31, 1994, at <br />9:30 a.m. Present were John W. Tippin, Chairman; Kenneth R. Macht, <br />Vice Chairman; Fran B. Adams; Richard N. Bird; and Carolyn K. <br />Eggert. Also present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; <br />Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Patricia Held, Deputy <br />Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Commissioner Bird requested the addition of appointment of <br />George Hamner, Jr., to the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously added the <br />above item to the Agenda. <br />Commissioner Bird announced that he wished to appoint George <br />Hamner, Jr., to the Planning & Zoning Commission as a member from <br />the South Beach area. Dorothy Hudson resigned from that committee <br />and this appointment would fill that vacancy. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously appointed <br />George F.
