Tuesday, July 5, 1994 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, July 5, 1994, at <br />9:00 a.m. Present were John W. Tippin, Chairman; Kenneth R. Macht, <br />Vice Chairman; Fran B. Adams; Richard N. Bird and Carolyn K. <br />Eggert. Also present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; <br />Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Rosemary Rivera and <br />Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerks. <br />Chairman Tippin called the meeting to order. <br />The Reverend G. P. LaBarre, retired of Trinity Episcopal <br />Church, gave the invocation and Commissioner Macht led the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDI'T'IONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Commissioner Bird requested the addition to today's Agenda of <br />Item 13-D, Discussion of opening ceremonies for Courthouse. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously added the <br />above item to the Agenda. <br />County Attorney Charles P. Vitunac announced a brief caucus <br />immediately following today's meeting. <br />PRESENTATION TO LIBRARY BY SONS OF CONFEDERATE <br />VETERANS <br />Fred Mensing representing J. J. Dickison Camp #1387, Sons of <br />Confederate Veterans, Melbourne, Florida, donated and presented to <br />Commissioner Eggert on behalf of the Indian River Main Library, <br />Volume No. 60 of a limited re -print of 100 volumes of "Southern <br />View of Invasion of the Southern States and War of 1861-65,11 <br />authored by Captain S.A.
