At this time, there are many proposed LDR amendments which now <br />require consideration and action by the Board of County <br />Commissioners. These LDR changes have been initiated by county <br />staff, the Professional Service Advisory Committee (PSAC), and the <br />Board of County Commissioners. This set of LDR amendments relates <br />to many issues, including but not limited to the following: <br />1. Vehicle storage lot (paved or unpaved) use category. <br />2. Automobile sales in industrial districts. <br />3. Special_yard situations for multi -frontage lots. <br />4. Heights of walls and fences. <br />5. Veterinary clinic/animal hospital special land use criteria <br />conflict. <br />6. Setbacks and buffers for country clubs and associated uses. <br />7. Group homes/ACLF separation distance. <br />B. Planning and Zoning Commission representation on the Technical <br />Review Committee. <br />9. Bufferyards in Multi -Family Projects. <br />10. Bonding Requirements for Moving of Structures. <br />11. Site Plan Project Classification. <br />12. Platting -over Site Plan Projects. <br />13. Calculation of ACLF/Group Home Land Use Intensity. <br />14. CH District Side Yard Setbacks Against FEC Railroad. <br />15. IL & IG District Side Yard Setbacks Against FEC -Railroad. <br />16. Traffic Impact Fee (TIF) Ordinance 15% Reduction for <br />Individual Assessments. <br />17. Review Fee for TIF Individual Assessments. <br />18. Changes to Subdivision Application Submittal Requirements & <br />Procedures. <br />19. FEMA - Recommended Changes to Stormwater Management & Flood <br />Protection Requirements <br />20. Live -aboard Vessels: Definition & Restrictions. <br />21. Dock Rental Restrictions. <br />22. Limitations on Littoral Zone Requirements. <br />23. Setbacks for Legal Nonconforming Lots of Record Endnote 112" of <br />Section 911.08(7) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />24. Setbacks for Swimming Pool Structures on Corner & Multi - <br />Frontage Lots. <br />The PSAC has reviewed most of the proposed amendments. The <br />Planning and Zoning Commission is in the process of considering and <br />making recommendations to the Board regarding the proposed LDR <br />amendments. To proceed with the review and approval process for <br />the amendments, the Board must now set dates and times for the <br />required two evening public hearings. <br />ANALYSIS AND ALTERNATIVES: <br />The proposed amendments were considered by the PSAC at several of <br />its 1994 meetings. The Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled <br />to consider the proposed amendments at its July 14, 1994 meeting. <br />The Board of County Commissioners must hold its meetings after <br />receiving the Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendations. <br />While most of the proposed amendments are non -controversial, some <br />items could require significant discussion. <br />State requirements mandate seven day notice (newspaper <br />advertisement) prior to the first meeting, five day notice prior to <br />the second meeting, and at least two weeks between the two <br />meetings.
