White, Executive Aide <br />DATE: July 20, 1994 <br />SUBJECT: AD HOC MANATEE AND BOATING SAFETY CONMZTTEE <br />While updating our committee lists, it was discovered that the Ad <br />Hoc Manatee and Boating Safety Committee is still listed as an <br />open committee, although it hasn't met in years. <br />Recently all matters dealing with manatees, boat speed and <br />erosion of the banks of the lagoon have been referred to the <br />Marine Advisory Narrows Watershed Action Committee (NANWAC.) <br />Many of the people who served on the Ad Hoc Manatee and Boating <br />Safety Committee are also serving on the MANWAC. <br />Is it necessary to retain the Ad Hoc Manatee and Boating Safety <br />Committee, or can it be dissolved? <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously dissolved <br />the Ad Hoc Manatee and Boating Safety Committee. <br />REOUEST FROM CITY OF VERO BEACH FOR FUNDS TO MAINTAIN <br />CENTER FOR THE ARTS <br />The Board reviewed letter from City of Vero Beach City Manager <br />T.
