DeBlois, &C>P <br />Chief, Environmental Planning <br />DATE: July 26, 1994 <br />RE: Request for County Commission Approval of a <br />Contract with FloridAffinity/Conservation <br />Consultants for Environmental Land <br />Acquisition/Management Services <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at its regular <br />meeting of August 2, 1994. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Attached is a draft contract between the •County and <br />FloridaAf f inity/Conservation Consultants for environmental land <br />acgriisit;.nn/management services. 'rhe County Land Acquisition <br />Advisory Committee (LAAC), at its meeting of July 27, 1994, voted <br />to recommend that the Board of County Commissioners approve this <br />contract. Staff now requests the Board's consideration of contract <br />approval. <br />Background <br />The Board of County Commissioners, at its meeting of February 22, <br />1994, and as endorsed by LAAC, authorized staff to negotiate a <br />contract for environmental land acquisition and. management <br />consultant services. This authorization occurred after staff had <br />issued (with Board and LAAC approval) a Request for Proposals <br />(RFP), and had interviewed and ranked three consulting groups. The <br />three groups, in order of ranking, were as follows: <br />1. Trust for Public Land/Glatting Jackson <br />2. The Mature Conservancy <br />3.
