Vit c - County Attorney <br />DATE: July 26, 1994 <br />SUBJECT: Endangered Species Act Seminar <br />I am attaching a copy of an announcement for a 2 -day conference on how to <br />deal with the Endangered Species Act and its impact on growth and <br />development, and would like to know if you wish to authorize Deputy County <br />Attorney Will Collins to attend this session. I ask this since the Board <br />recently discussed possible challenges to the requirements of the Act as it <br />relates to our park and school land development. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Direction from the Board to authorize Will Collins to attend this conference. <br />The consensus of the Board was not to send someone to attend <br />this seminar but just to stay on top of this subject. <br />APPOINTMENTS TO PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 7/27/94: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Richard N. Bird, County Commissioner <br />DATE: July 27, 1994 <br />SUBJECT: Appointments to Parks and Recreation Committee <br />The City of Sebastian has requested that Kay Rogers be appointed <br />as an alternate member of the Parks and Recreation Committee <br />representing the City of Sebastian. <br />We have received four resumes for North County representative <br />(Vernon Slavens, Curtis Caywood, Billie Minnis and Michael <br />Zeugner), and three resumes for South County representative (Mike <br />Kiefer, Hulda Grobman and Barbara Scharfschwerdt-Bodnar.) <br />I am requesting that the Board approve the appointment of Kay <br />Rogers as alternate for the City of Sebastian, and choose one <br />person for North County representative and one person for South <br />County representative. <br />36 <br />August 2, 1994 <br />
