B. Cancellation of Outstanding Taxes on Properties Purchased for County <br />Use <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 8/8/94: <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />FROM: Lea R. Keller, CLA, County Attorneys Office <br />THRU: Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: August 8, 1994 <br />RE: CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TABES <br />PROPERTIES PURCHASED FOR COUNTY -USE <br />The County recently acquired some property and rights-of-way, and, <br />pursuant to Section 196.28, Florida Statutes, the Board of County <br />Commissioners is allowed to cancel and discharge any taxes owed on the <br />portion of the property acquired for public purposes.
