Book 93 PALE 15$ <br />ORDINANCE NO. 94-25 <br />"Zone of imminent collapse" means an area subject to <br />erosion adjacent to the shoreline of an ocean, bay, or lake <br />and within a distance equal to 10 feet plus 5 times the <br />average annual long-term erosion rate for the site, <br />measured from the reference feature. <br />H. Chapter 901 is hereby amended by revising certain existing <br />definitions as follows: <br />"Basement" a story partly underground and having at least <br />one-half of its height above the average adjoining grade. <br />A basement or cellar shall be counted as a story if the <br />vertical distance from the average adjoining grade to the <br />ceiling is over five feet. The market value of <br />the building is the appraised or assessed value of the <br />_building, less the land, prior to the start of the <br />initial repair or improvement. In the case of damage, <br />the market value of the building is that prior to the <br />damage occurring.
