The lowest quote to remove all the above -referenced items is <br />$24,400.00. This quote was submitted by Jim Wright Construction, Inc. <br />The Public Works Department submitted a memo to the Department of <br />Utility Services, stating that it would be of, no savings to the County <br />for their Department to complete the job. (See attached memo.) <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the awarding of the lowest bid to <br />Jim Wright Construction, Inc., in the amount of $24,400.00. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Bird being absent) approved the <br />Agreement for the removal of the old GDU/Vero <br />Highlands structures by Jim Wright Construction, <br />Inc. in the amount of $24,400, as recommended by <br />staff . <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />COURTHOUSE ADVISORY COMMITTEE'S REQUEST FOR <br />CONDEMNATION OF HARSHBARGER PROPERTY FOR TUDICUL <br />COMPLEX <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 8/25/94 and letter <br />dated 9/6/94: <br />TO: `!71 <br />O OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />FROMs Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: August 25, 1994 <br />RE: COURTHOUSE ADVISORY COMMITTEE CONDEMNATION REQUEST <br />On August 18, 1994, the Courthouse Advisory Committee passed a motion <br />requesting that the County Commission authorize the County Attorney's <br />Office to proceed with condemnation proceedings against the Harshbarger <br />property, which is the last remaining piece of property in the judicial <br />complex. The Committee felt that the entire block had been dedicated as <br />a judicial complex and that to allow inconsistent uses to be made of the <br />property now would only increase the ultimate acquisition cost in the <br />future. <br />Judge Vocelle and members of the county bar association have requested <br />the opportunity to speak to the commission concerning this matter. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Request direction from the Board. <br />75 BOOK 93 FADE « j <br />September 6, 1994 <br />
