In addition, staff remains interested in findina <br />public boating access via the subdivision canals. g way to provide <br />ALTERNA IVES AND l�i1TALYSIS <br />The alternatives are as follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Authorize staff to apply for a maintenance dredge permit for the Vero Shores <br />subdivision entrance channel. <br />Alternative No 2 <br />Deny the request. <br />RE M aMM&TIONS AND F[Il`'DING <br />Staff recommends that the board grant the Vero Shores Association's request and <br />.authorize staff to apply for a maintenance dredge permit. No additional expenditures are <br />expected. <br />Commissioner Adams inquired whether there is any public boat <br />access. <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis explained that the canals are <br />dedicated to the public but there is no public access.
