SECTION 01630` <br />SUBSTITUTIONS_' <br />1.1 GENERAL <br />A. Requests for review of a substitution shall conform to the requirements of <br />Article 6.05, "Substitutes and Or -Equals," of the General Conditions, and shall <br />contain complete data substantiating compliance of the proposed substitution <br />with the Contract Documents. <br />1.2 CONTRACTOR'S OPTIONS <br />A. For materials or equipment (hereinafter products) specified only by reference <br />standard, select product meeting that standard by any manufacturer, fabricator, <br />supplier or distributor (hereinafter manufacturer). To the maximum extent <br />possible, provide products of the same generic kind from a single source. <br />B. For products specified by naming several products or manufacturers, select any <br />one of the products or manufacturers named which complies with Specifications. <br />C. For products specified by naming one or more products or manufacturers and <br />stating "or equivalent," submit a request for a substitution for any product or <br />manufacturer which is not specifically named. <br />D. For products specified by naming only one product or manufacturer and followed <br />by words indicating that no substitution is permitted, there is no option and no <br />substitution will be allowed. <br />E. Where more than one choice is available as a CONTRACTOR's option, select <br />product which is compatible with other products already selected or specified. <br />1.3 SUBSTITUTIONS <br />A. During, a period of 15 days after date of commencement of Contract Time, . <br />ENGINEER will consider written requests from CONTRACTOR for substitution of <br />products or manufacturers, and construction methods (if specified). - <br />1. After end of specified period, requests. will be considered only in case of <br />unavailability of product or other conditions beyond control of <br />CONTRACTOR. <br />B. Submit 5 copies of Request for Substitution. Submit a separate request for each <br />substitution. In addition to requirements set forth in Article 6.05 of General <br />Conditions, include in the request the following: , <br />..I. For products or manufacturers: <br />a. Product identification, including manufacturer's name and address. <br />b..
