SECTION 011100 <br />SUMMARY OF WORK <br />PART GENERAL <br />1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and Specification Sections, apply to this Section. <br />1.02 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. Project Name: Indian River County Health Department Roof Replacement & Exterior <br />Repair <br />B. Project Address: 1900 27d' St., Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />C. Owner: Indian River County <br />D. Engineer: The Contract Documents, dated June 5, 2017, were prepared by REI Engineers. <br />E. This work includes the provision of all labor, material, equipment, supervision . and <br />administration to integrate the work outlined in this project manual into the total building <br />system ' such that no moisture leakage into the system occurs. In general, the scope of <br />work in the Base Bid will include: <br />1. Roof Replacement — Sectors A, B, C, F, G, I, J & K (Approximately 20,712 <br />square feet): Remove and dispose of the existing roof systemincluding flashings <br />and sheet metal down to the existing light weight insulating concrete deck; <br />resecure the existing parapet nailers to remain in place; provide new wood nailers <br />where indicated in Contract Drawings; mechanically attach base sheet; torch <br />apply two -plies modified bitumen roof membrane and provide new sheet metal <br />flashings and accessories to provide a complete, watertight, 20 -year warrantable <br />roof system. <br />2.. Roof Replacement — Sector D (Approximately 2,520 square feet): Remove and <br />dispose of the existing roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to <br />the existing steel deck;. resecure the existing parapet nailers to remain in place; <br />provide new wood nailers where indicated in Contract Drawings; re -secure steel <br />deck to structural framing members; provide tapered insulation system with two <br />base layers of 2" roof insulation; provide tapered insulation crickets where <br />indicated in Contract Drawings; mechanically attach gypsum overlayment; torch <br />apply two -plies modified bitumen roof membrane and provide new sheet metal <br />flashings and accessories to provide a complete, watertight, 20 -year warrantable <br />roof system. Remove existing roof drains. Provide new roof drains_ connected to <br />existing plumbing. <br />3. Roof Replacement — Sector E (Approximately 753 square feet): Remove and <br />dispose of the existing roof system including concrete topping slab, flashings and <br />sheet metal down to the existing structural concrete deck; resecure the existing <br />parapet nailers to remain in place; provide new wood nailers where indicated in <br />Contract Drawings; raise door thresholds as required to obtain 8" flashing height; <br />prepare concrete deck and provide vapor retarder; adhere two layers of 2" <br />Indian River County Health Department. <br />Roof Replacement & Exterior Repair 01 11 00-1 Summary of Work <br />
