Ennis, P.E., County Engineer <br />FROM: William Johnson, P.E., Roadway Production Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Agreement for 45th Street Improvements — 43`d Avenue to 58th <br />Avenue (IRC -1722) — RFQ 2018012 <br />DATE: February 26, 2018 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On February 6, 2018 the Board of County Commissioners approved the ranking of the design professionals, <br />and authorized negotiations to begin with the top ranked firm from the RFQ selection process, Masteller & <br />Moler, Inc. <br />The purpose of this project is to provide survey, design and permitting services to relocate the existing <br />roadway south and enclose the sub -lateral 'H' canal along the south side of 45th Street, from 43 d Avenue to <br />west of 58th Avenue, approximately 1.2 miles in a manner consistent with the Gifford Neighborhood Plan. <br />These improvements also include the addition of 5' wide paved shoulders, pavement markings, 6 -foot <br />sidewalk on the south side of 45th Street, existing sidewalk repairs, the replacement of failed or failing <br />drainage pipes under the roadway. <br />The project is identified as Action 7.3 in the Gifford Neighborhood Plan approved bythe Board in July of 2014 <br />and scheduled for completion by Public Works by 2021. <br />Attached is a proposed agreement for design services for the proposed 45th Street improvements project. <br />The proposed services would consist of the following; <br />1. Route Survey <br />$33,500 <br />2. Sub -lateral A-7 Existing Storage Computations <br />$8,000 <br />3. Roadway Construction Plans <br />$126,000 <br />4. Drainage Analysis and Plans <br />$12,000 <br />5. Treatment & Attenuation Analysis (if required) <br />$15,000 <br />6. Erosion Control and SWPPP <br />$6,000 <br />7. Jurisdictional Permitting <br />$6,000 <br />8. Signing and Marking Plans <br />$18,000 <br />9. Utility Coordination/Water & Sewer Service Adjustments <br />$23,000 <br />10.
