Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final February 13, 2018 <br />installation of Digital Watchdog CCTV security camera system software at the <br />IRC Courthouse, issue a Purchase Order for $9,953.60 for an expandable NAS <br />Server to backup the CCTV security camera system County wide, issue a <br />Purchase Order for $25,632.33 for installation of a Digital Watchdog CCTV <br />security camera system at the Utility Operations Center, and issue a Purchase <br />Order for $8,694 for installation of a Digital Watchdog CCTV security camera <br />system at the Fellsmere Customer Convenience Center. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />CDA Quote for IRC Courthouse <br />CDA Quote for County Wide Backup Server <br />CDA Quote for Utilities Operations Center <br />CDA Quote for Fellsmere Convenience Center <br />(Clerk's Note: This item was heard following Item 9.B., and is placed here for <br />continuity). <br />Public Works Director Richard Szyprka provided background and analysis on <br />the County's security camera systems and described the need to provide a local <br />server and upgrades at multiple sites. He spoke in support of designating CDA <br />Solutions, Inc. as the sole source provider for the County's Digital Watchdog <br />CCTV Security Camera Systems. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman Solari, seconded by Commissioner Adams, <br />to approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Solari, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Flescher, and Commissioner Zorc <br />12.F.3. 18-1480 Designation of Jamar Technologies as Sole Source Manufacturer and <br />Provider of Traffic Radar Recorder Equipment and TraxPro Software <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners declare Jamar <br />Technologies, Inc. as the County's sole source provider for all Traffic <br />Engineering Division related traffic counting equipment, hardware and software <br />and waive the requirement for bids for their purchase, as needed. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Jamar Technologies Letter <br />Public Works Director Richard Szyprka reviewed the information contained in staffs <br />memorandum dated January 29, 2018, to provide background on the County's traffic <br />counting program. He disclosed that the County's Traffic Engineering Division has <br />been utilizing equipment and software made by Jamar Technologies, Inc., ("Jamar") to <br />monitor traffic and road conditions. He noted that the Radar Recorder Traffic <br />Counters designed by Jamar have eliminated the need for staff to <br />Indian River County Florida Page 12 <br />
