3/7/95jr*eo\PIND)Vk <br />RESOLUTION N0, 95- 38 <br />A REBOLUTION OP THE BOARD OP COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OP <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO THE FLORIDA <br />LEGISLATURE URGING AN AMENDMENT TO STATE LAM TO <br />ALLOW FOR PUBLIC ACCESS TO NON-PROFIT FILINGS. <br />WHEREAS, State law provides for exemption from from ad valorem taxes for <br />non-profit organizations; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County feels it would be in the public interest to <br />have the Section 196.195, F.S. amended to allow inspection and public review <br />of these non-profit filings; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board strongly urges the Florida <br />Legislature to amend Section 196.195, F.S. to allow inspection and public <br />review of non-profit filings which qualify for exemption from ad valorem <br />taxes. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Eggert , and <br />the motion was seconded by Commissioner Adams and, upon being put to <br />a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Kenneth R. Macht Aye <br />Vice Chairman Fran B. Adams Aye <br />Commissioner Richard N. Bird Aye <br />Commissioner Carolyn K. Eggert Aye <br />Commissioner John W.
