Brown, County Administrator <br />Mike Smykowski, Budget Director <br />FROM: Jennifer Hyde, Purchasing Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid 2018020 — NCAC Water Slide Step Repair <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Recreation Division requested the solicitation of bids for repairs to the steps to the 15 -foot - <br />high platform associated with the double flume slide at the North County Aquatic Center (NCAC). <br />These steps are original to the pool, constructed in 2002, and are rusting badly. Funding for the $52,230.00 bid price is <br />available in the NCAC — Other Improvements Except Buildings Account (00410472-066390). <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Board award Bid 2018020 to Close Construction, LLC, approve the sample <br />agreement and authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement after approval by the County <br />41 <br />
