Brown, County Administrator <br />Mike Smykowski, Budget Director <br />FROM: Jennifer Hyde, Purchasing Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Annual Bid for Day Labor (Rebid) — Bid 2018035 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Road and Bridge Division requested the solicitation of annual bids to establish firm fixed <br />pricing for day laborers. Workers are used on an as -needed basis as flaggers, to perform mowing, <br />and to perform other general labor activities. The contract will also be utilized by the Department <br />of Utilities Services and the Parks Maintenance, Facilities Management and Traffic Engineering <br />Divisions. The bid had previously been advertised, with only one responsive bid received. That <br />bidder requested to withdraw its bid after noting an error on its bid form, and on January 9, 2018 <br />the Board approved that withdrawal and authorized staff to rebid.
