Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final March 13, 2018 <br />2018/2019. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Children's Services Funding History <br />Children's Services Meeting Minutes 2017 <br />(Clerk's Note: This Item heard following Item 14.A. Commissioners Matters, <br />and is placed here for continuity.) <br />Management and Budget Director Mike Smykowski used a PowerPoint <br />Presentation to describe the recommended funding allocations for Children's <br />Services for the Fiscal Year 2018-2019. <br />Bob Johnson, Coral Wind Subdivision, questioned the increases made to the <br />Children's Services funding as compared to last year's allocations. <br />Chairman O'Bryan, with the assistance of County Administrator Jason Brown, <br />answered Bob Johnson's questions and explained the reasons for the increase in <br />the Children's Services funding. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Flescher, seconded by Commissioner <br />Zorc, to approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Solari, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Flescher, and Commissioner Zorc <br />F. Public Works <br />G Utilities Services <br />12.6.1. 18-1587 Utility Construction Standards, March 2018 <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve adoption <br />of the Indian River County Department of Utility Services Water, Wastewater <br />and Reclaimed Water Construction Standards - March 2018, as presented. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Attachment A - List of Maior Revisions to Standards <br />Director of Utility Services Vincent Burke, through the use of a PowerPoint <br />Presentation, explained the background and timelines associated with the <br />updating of the Indian River County Department of Utility Services Water, <br />Wastewater and Reclaimed Water Construction Standards - March 2018 <br />(Standards). He provided a summary of the proposed upgrades and changes to <br />the Standards, and how the revisions would impact initial capital costs to the <br />developer, the maintenance costs to the Utilities, and the costs to the customer. <br />Indian River County Florida Page 8 <br />
