Ennis, P.E., County Engineer <br />FROM: William Johnson, P.E., Roadway Production Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid No. 2018039 <br />CR510/85th Street Right Turn Lane Extension at 66th Avenue, IRC -1745 <br />DATE: April 17, 2018 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />County staff has identified the need for extending the eastbound to southbound right turn lane at CR - <br />510 and 66th Avenue. Indian River County Engineering evaluated conditions for possible improvements <br />at the intersection of CR510 and 66th Avenue during the 3'd quarter of 2017. <br />Since that time, Indian River County Engineering has completed construction documents for bidding. A <br />bid opening for the project was held on April 11, 2018. Three (3) qualified bids were received and <br />opened. A detailed bid tabulation is on file and available for viewing in the County Engineering Division. <br />Bid totals are as follow: <br />COMPANY <br />BID <br />Mancil's Tractor Service, Inc. <br />$151,016.30 <br />Palm City, FL <br />Sunshine Land Design, Inc. <br />Stuart, FL <br />$172,774.02 <br />Timothy Rose Contracting, Inc. <br />Vero Beach, FL <br />$192,404.90 <br />Mancil's Tractor Service, Inc. is considered to be the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder for the <br />project with a bid totaling $151,016.30. Mancil's Tractor Service, Inc. has successfully completed <br />roadway intersection improvement construction projects within the State of Florida for local <br />municipalities and the Florida Department of Transportation. The Mancil's Tractor Service, Inc. bid was <br />below the Engineer's Estimate of $155,684.60. <br />92 <br />
