The Building inspectors are currently <br />under staffed due to an increasing inspection load (up roughly 20%) and inability to fill <br />the vacant positions. Exhibit "A" appropriates funding in the amount of $350,000 from <br />Building Department/Cash Forward — Oct 1St <br />2. On April 17, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Sheriffs request <br />for $97,814 to be withdrawn from the Special Law Enforcement Trust Fund to be used <br />to purchase equipment and support programs and agencies. Exhibit "A" appropriates <br />the funding from Special Law Enforcement Fund/Cash Forward -Oct 1St <br />3. On April 3, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Award of Bid for <br />the Indian River County Jail Complex roofing replacement, recover and repair project. <br />Exhibit "A" appropriates the additional funding of $263,655 from Optional Sales <br />Tax/Cash Forward -Oct 1St <br />4. The Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) Earned Administrative Fee needs to be <br />"rolled over' to the current year. Exhibit "A" appropriates funding of $24,980 from <br />Section 8/Housing Assistance/Cash Forward -Oct 1St <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the budget resolution <br />amending the fiscal year 2017-2018 budget. <br />207 <br />
