Deletion of Bleachers from Fixed Assets <br />The Board reviewed Memorandum of October 12, 1994: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: Joseph A Baird, Budget Directo 10 <br />FROM: Edwin M Fry, Jr, Finance Director <br />DATE: October 12, 1994 <br />SUBJECT: Deletion of Bleachers From Fixed Assets <br />Background <br />The County owns bleachers which are used by the Recreation <br />Department and the Parks Department at various locations throughout <br />the County. It is very difficult to track these bleachers by asset <br />number since the property tags are continually removed and there is <br />no serial number or other identifying number on the bleachers. <br />Since the bleachers serve a unique purpose and are not easily <br />converted to other use, we believe that removing them from the <br />fixed assets inventory would not expose the County to a significant <br />risk of loss. Jim Davis, Public Works Director- and Pat Callahan, <br />Recreation Director have agreed With our suggestion to delete the <br />bleachers from the Fixed Assets Inventory. The value of the fixed <br />assets that we are proposing to delete from the Fixed Assets <br />Inventory is $23,417.28 <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the <br />deletion of bleachers from the Fixed Assets Inventory. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />the treatment of the bleachers owned by the County <br />as a non -capital expenditure and their deletion from <br />the Fixed Assets Inventory as recommended by staff. <br />H.
