<br />April 17, 2018 Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes-Final <br />recommendation to select BenefitExpress to provide benefit administration <br />services for the County’s comprehensive employee benefit program effective <br />May 1, 2018 to include a dependent verification audit, to authorize staff to enter <br />into a five (5) year agreement, and to authorize the Board Chairman to sign the <br />administrative service agreement after review and approval by the County <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />Staff Report <br />Benefit Administration Scorecard <br />Finalist Pricing <br />BenefitExpress Dependent Verification Audit <br />Attachments: <br />Human Resources Director Suzanne Boyll presented an explanation of the <br />recommended changes that BenefitExpress would provide to the County, and <br />assured the Board that transitioning to a Benefit Administration System should <br />streamline the current enrollment process, which has been known to be <br />complex and error-prone. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Flescher, seconded by Commissioner <br />Zorc, to approve staff's recommendation. The motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />Aye: Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner Flescher, and <br />Commissioner Zorc <br />4 - <br />Absent: Vice Chairman Solari 1 - <br />E. Office of Management and Budget <br />18-1700 12.E.1. Property/Casualty Insurance 2018-19 <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends that the Board approve the renewal and authorize staff to <br />bind coverage for May 1, 2018 through April 30, 2019 with a current annual <br />premium of $1,849,530.00 based upon the current schedule of values and <br />coverage selections and approve the broker annual fee of $175,000.00. <br /> <br />Staff Report <br />Broker Recommendation 2018-19 <br />Attachments: <br />Director of Management and Budget Michael Smykowski used a PowerPoint <br />Presentation to detail the Property/Casualty Insurance coverage and premium <br />data in preparation for the May 1, 2018 renewal. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry by Chairman O'Bryan, Erica Connick, Account <br />Executive, Arthur J. Gallagher Management Services, Inc. (AJG), confirmed <br />that the new roofs on the Health Department and on the County Administration <br />Buildings have been documented and will be taken into consideration when <br />preparing next year’s renewal. <br />Page 11 Indian River County Florida
