Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final <br />Former South Gifford Road Landfill <br />May 8, 2018 <br />Recommended action: Solid- Waste Disposal District staff recommends that its Board approve Geosyntec's <br />final invoice amount of $8,262.25. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Geosvntec Project Completion Report and Final Invoice <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman Solari, seconded by Commissioner Adams, to <br />approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Solari, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Flescher, and Commissioner Zorc <br />15.B.5.18-1803 CCNA-2018 Work Order No. 1 to Geosyntec for One Year of Groundwater <br />Monitoring/Reporting and Related Consulting Services at the Former South <br />Gifford Road Landfill <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends that the Solid Waste Disposal District Board approves and <br />authorizes the Chairman to sign the CCNA-2018 Work Order No. 1 authorizing <br />Geosyntec to provide groundwater monitoring/reporting and related consulting <br />services for the former Gifford Road Landfill in compliance with Florida <br />Department of Environmental Protection requirements for a period of one year, not <br />to exceed fee of $92,798. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Geosvntec CCNA-2018 WO No 1 <br />Vice Chairman Solari stated that Geosyntec's proposal includes two semi-annual <br />groundwater monitoring reports. He posed the idea that staff could approach the <br />Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) about changing to annual <br />monitoring reports. <br />Chairman O'Bryan sought and received clarification on why there was an increase <br />to the budget for this Work Order. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman Solari, seconded by Commissioner Flescher, <br />to approve staffs recommendation, and to direct staff to inquire to the Florida <br />Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) about submitting annual <br />groundwater monitoring reports for the Former South Gifford Road Landfill, instead <br />of the semi-annual reports currently required.
