Ennis, P!E., County Engineer <br />1 <br />FROM: William Johnson, P.E., Roadway Production Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid No. 21018009 <br />CR 512 Resurfacing & Shoulder Widening from Myrtle Street to 125th Avenue <br />Project, IRC -1305 <br />DATE: July 06, 2018 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On April 19th 2016, the Board of County Commissioners approved consultant Atkins North America, Inc. <br />to perform professional services through Work Order Number 3 to prepare construction documents for <br />CR 512 in Fellsmere. The project consists cf adding 5 -ft. paved shoulders to accommodate bicycle lanes, <br />milling and resurfacing the roadway, providing crosswalks, upgradesto existingtraffic signal equipment, <br />installation of a mast arm signal at Willow Street & CR 512, replacing school zone flashers, upgrading and <br />replacing signs as well as striping. I <br />On February 06, 2018 the Board of County Commissioners approved a Small County Outreach Program <br />(SCOP) Grant from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in the maximum amount of <br />$877,600.00 for Construction and CEI services. The Engineer's Cost Estimate was $1,913,002.74. <br />I <br />A bid opening for the CR 512 Resurfacing was held on June 27th, 2018. Three (3) bids were received and <br />opened.
