Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes July 11, 2018 <br />He added that all state agencies were fully funded with the exception of <br />the State Health Department, which had requested a 10% increase in <br />funding in the amount of $696.000. <br />Chairman O'Bryan wanted to see the Board fully fund the State Health <br />Department, stating that the State had cut their budget and they were <br />providing services to the neediest residents within the County. It was <br />the consensus of the Board to fully fund the State Health Department. <br />The Chairman opened the floor for comments. <br />The following individuals thanked the Board for their continued support: <br />Myra Zilahy, Deputy Administrator, 19th Judicial Circuit <br />Cheryl Duren on behalf of Miranda Hawker for the State Health <br />Department <br />Annette Gosselin, Chief Financial Officer for New Horizons <br />Dr. R. Mittleman, Medical Examiner <br />Pat Arnold on behalf of Diamond Litty, Public Defender for the 19th <br />Judicial Circuit <br />NON -DEPARTMENTAL <br />001-110 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIVISION <br />001-128 CHILDREN'S SERVICES <br />001-137 SEBASTIAN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AREA <br />001-137 FELLSMERE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AREA <br />18-2033 <br />Attachments: Non -Departmental <br />Administrator Brown's recommendations for Non -Departmental: <br />• Economic Development Division - $187,250, an increase of $2,196, or 1.2% <br />• Children's Services- $1,663,965, an increase of $56,000 <br />(Additional $250,000 impact from funding a portion of the FY 2017/2018 <br />budget with one-time revenues.) <br />• Sebastian CRA- $210,000, an increase of $25,120 <br />• Fellsmere CRA- $12,000, an increase of $5,933 <br />County Administrator Brown mentioned there were two Community <br />Redevelopment Areas in Sebastian and one in Fellsmere, and the funding <br />was based upon changes in the Ad Valorem taxable value. <br />The Chairman opened the floor for comments; there were none. <br />Indian River County Florida Page 10 <br />
