Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes July 11, 2018 <br />18-2040 <br />Attachments: Enterprise Funds <br />Administrator Brown listed the following proposed Enterprise Funds: <br />• Golf Course - $2,951,763, an increase of $56,231 <br />• Building Department - $4,498,775, an increase of $473,483 <br />• Utilities - $42,726,110, a decrease of $55,488 <br />• Utilities Impact Fees - $2,186,425, an increase of $823,650 <br />The proposed total for the Enterprise Funds is $52,363,073, an increase of <br />$1,297,876. <br />Administrator Brown stated that the Enterprise Funds were funds that <br />were operating more as a private business and the operations were <br />intended to pay for themselves without using taxpayer dollars. He <br />noted that the increase for the Building Department Fund was due to <br />funding three additional positions to provide support to the growing <br />workload. He added there were no plans to increase Building Permit <br />Fees at this time; however, staff was recommending an increase in <br />Development Review Fees, which were currently being reviewed by the <br />Development Review Committee. <br />Administrator Brown, in response to the Board's questions, hoped that <br />the Shooting. Range would become an Enterprise Fund in the near future <br />with the new Skeet and Trap Facilities and the Hunter Safety and <br />Education Building. <br />The Chairman opened the floor for public comments. <br />Bob Johnson, Coral Wind Subdivision, questioned the Board on the City <br />of Fellsmere's financial responsibilities with the annexation of the <br />Corrigan Ranch. <br />Administrator Brown mentioned that the County was working on a rate <br />study for Utilities to take to the Board in the near future, confirming that <br />there would be no rate increases to operating and impact fees. <br />INTERNAL SERVICE FUNDS <br />501 FLEET MANAGEMENT <br />502 RISK MANAGEMENT (SELF INSURANCE) <br />504 EMPLOYEE HEALTH INSURANCE <br />505-103 IT - GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS <br />Indian River County Florida Page 16 <br />
