Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final July 17, 2018 <br />The Board requested and received additional information regarding the wetland <br />features and public improvements planned for the Jones Pier Conservation <br />Area, which is in the design and permitting phase. <br />The presentation continued with a request for the Board's direction on an <br />available grant for the Lost Tree Islands Conservation Area. The Coastal <br />Resilience Fund Grant provides money to help coastal communities strengthen <br />natural infrastructure and enhance wildlife habitats. Ms. Powell referred to the <br />Lost Tree Islands' existing Master Restoration Plan and highlighted the <br />elements that could be implemented under this grant. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Flescher, seconded by Commissioner <br />Adams, to direct staff to proceed with the grant application for the National <br />Resilience Fund Grant RFP for the Lost Tree Islands Conservation Area.
