Cost Sharing Agreement for the Expansion of the <br />Indian River County School Recycling Program <br />THIS COST SHARING AGREEMENT for the expansion of the Indian River County School <br />Recycling Program, is made and entered into as of this 1_ day of September, 2018 by and between <br />the Indian River County Solid Waste Disposal District, a dependent special district of Indian River <br />County, Florida, whose address is c/o Department of Utility Services, 1801 271h Street, Vero Beach, FL <br />(hereinafter "SWDD") and the School Board of Indian River County (hereinafter "School Board"), whose <br />address is 6500 57th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32967. <br />WHEREAS, a Recycling Pilot Program initiated in January 2018 at four public schools showed <br />that a campus wide approach to recycling resulted in a higher volume of recycling and a reduction in the <br />amount of garbage generated per school; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Solid Waste Disposal District and the School Board of Indian <br />River County wish to collaborate on the expansion of the Indian River County school recycling program <br />to 16 additional public schools as detailed in Exhibit 1; and <br />WHEREAS, the Superintendent Dr. Mark Rendell has the authority on behalf of the School Board <br />of Indian River County to provide the matching funding; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual undertakings herein, and other good and <br />valuable consideration, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. The SWDD Board is providing a one-time contribution in the amount of $11,300 to the School <br />Board for the sole purpose of the expansion of the school recycling program; <br />2. The School Board shall provide the matching funding in the amount of $11,300 to purchase <br />materials to be used for recycling programs at select schools in the School Board of Indian River <br />County. The School Board shall provide an annual report on the first Monday in December as a <br />condition of the grant from Waste Management, Inc. of Florida with a copy -to SWDD, as <br />referenced in Exhibit 1 and detailed in Exhibit 2, to provide updates 0n,4*bV66*sion of the <br />program, until the expansion is complete. ;'*.• <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY SOLID.-Z.- <br />WAST <br />OLID=Z'WAST POSAL DISTI I <br />ATTEST: Jeffrey R.
