A major impact on the Supervisor of Elections upcoming fiscal year budget will be the <br />extraordinary number of proposed constitutional amendments on the 2018 General Election ballot. <br />This year, Florida's Constitutional Revision Commission (CRC), which convenes every 20 years, has <br />proposed amendments to the Florida Constitution for voter consideration. The eight amendments <br />proposed by the CRC will be placed on the 2018 General Election ballot. <br />In addition to the CRC's proposed constitutional amendments, there are a number of proposed <br />amendments to the Florida Constitution by joint resolution of the Florida Legislature and citizen's <br />initiatives. <br />The following initiatives and amendments will appear on the 2018 General Election ballot in <br />addition to the CRC's eight proposed amendments: <br />• Increase Homestead Property Tax; Sponsor: The Florida Legislature/House (HJR7105) <br />• Limitations on Property Tax Assessments; Sponsor: The Florida Legislature/House <br />(CS/HJR21) <br />• Voter Control of Gambling in Florida; Sponsor: Voters In Charge <br />• Voting Restoration Amendment; Sponsor: Floridians for a Fair Democracy, Inc. <br />• Supermajority Vote Required to Impose, Authorize, or Raise State Taxes or Fees; Sponsor: <br />The Florida Legislature/House (HJR7001) a�rz <br />�RIN' <br />21 <br />i F" I J �'�P �' � ' � y �el• <br />�t z ;�,L ...,�� �f�.lr : a ,., o i - • • • 1 1 � �i a . e � ^. +'���o3��r. <br />
