Below is an updated memo breakdown of the Guardian ad Litem budget request for FY19.
<br />Pursuant to Revision 7, of Article V
<br />Proposed FY19 Budget for the Guardian ad Litem Program of the Nineteenth Circuit (All
<br />estimates are subject to change):
<br />• Rent Charges: $181,752.90: Our program occupies 8,904 square feet at the facility located at
<br />584 NW University Blvd., Suite 600, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986. Charges include base rent and
<br />operating costs (CAM) (water/sewer, garbage pickup and maintenance). Amount also includes
<br />flexibility for estimated CAM cost increase on 01/01/19.
<br />• Utility Services: $19,000.00: To cover utilities as light, heat, power provided to the program.
<br />• Building/Equipment Maintenance: $10,000.00: AC maintenance, repair services that may arise.
<br />• Other Contractual Services: $7,350.00: ADT Securities and cleaning services.
<br />• Operating Supplies: $5,000.00: To cover for office supplies such as: Toners for the fax, ink
<br />cartridges for the printers, cell phones/Blackberries equipment, office phones and answering
<br />machines, equipment rental and equipment under $1000.00.
<br />• Communications: $19,620.00: Monies will cover cell phone/blackberry monthly service. It also
<br />includes local and long distance phone services for the year.
<br />• G&A Charge: $61,108.00: General and Administrative expense to St. Lucie County.
<br />• Project Reserves: $250,000.00: Prorated portion of $750,000 over a three year period to be set
<br />aside by the four counties. This is the current amount of the cost of the buildout to move to the
<br />City of Fort Pierce.
<br />• One Time Charge: $60,000.00: Architect's fees paid in advance by St. Lucie County. These fees
<br />covered the plans/design for the GAL project/move to the City of Fort Pierce.
<br />Court Related Technology Expenses, funded by user fees and not county related resources (F.S.
<br />29.008 & 28.24):
<br />IT Services: $50,566.00 for Information Technology Services provided by St. Lucie County.
<br />Also, includes internet communication recurring monthly charge. System enables the Guardian ad
<br />Litem Program to operate the computer data base system and perform various computer functions
<br />required to maintain the Program. Updates, licenses and parts needed for repairs of desktops,
<br />laptops, iPads and printers.
